That's what the rehab facility where my father-in-law is recuperating wants for a load of his laundry. 90 bucks. Can you believe?!?!?
You KNOW that we'll be doing that laundry ourselves, rather than spending that kind of money.
And...it makes one wonder if there might be a business opportunity there. Could there be families who are too busy to do Grandma or Grandpa's laundry, but who wouldn't want to pay $90?

That would be a great business oppurtunity! you could even charge $30 and still make a huge profit!
some folks are just $$ hungry
(I agree with Bob.)
Did you ask them what the cost was and that's how you found out, or would most people just find out with the bill after they had already done the laundry?
I told him that we could certainly go to the Goodwill or Salvation Army and buy a truck load of clothes for that price.

Now, have I spend that kind of money for laundry services personally...ummmm, yes when I lived in the cities, but that was for pick up, clothes washed, rugs, leather coat and dry cleaning a couple things and redelivered in two days.
I had a position which took me around the US, and lots of my clothing had to be washed specifically (beadings, fringe ect) so it was my best bet, because the cost to replace the clothing was in the hundreds. (I was a feature dancer in a company...when I still had a figure..haha...before my son was born, blasted kid took that away from me besides my sanity)
So the cost didn't bother me then, now it is ripped jeans, sweats and old comforters that can be tossed in the machine.
Watch for the book Ten Little Dancers coming soon to a bookstore near you.
