Vivid Entertainment has made an offer to keep an Usher sex tape quiet. According to TMZ, the Vivid owner Steven Hirsch has written a letter to the singer and made an offer to keep the alleged sex tape that features Usher, his ex-wife, and a sexual act called pegging quiet by offering to stop distribution of the tape.
Why Hirsch, who runs one of the leading industries in porn distribution, made this offer is not crystal clear. It appears that the porn guru has either taken a liking to Usher or this is a well-orchestrated publicity stunt meant to garner attention by letting the world know that there is an alleged sex tape of the “U Remind Me” singer.
Although the reason cited in the letter which TMZ obtained claims, “As a result of this being an intimate and very personal tape we can certainly understand why you would want to stop its distribution.”
Hirsch has distributed hundreds of other celebrity sex tapes without sending a letter out to the actors in the tapes first. Although, one of the other statements made by the porn king was about how many celebrity sex tapes he has had to shut down.
The sex tapes of Tila Tequila, Paris Hilton, Kendra Wilkinson, and Kim Kardashian have all been distributed through Vivid Entertainment, proving that Hirsch just likes to have a celebrity name attached to a film, to grab media headlines. Vivid has also shown no scruples when it comes to the media marketing of Montana Fishburne, one of VividÂ’s newest porn stars, by using her father's name.
Whether the alleged Usher sex tape exists is in question, since it appears that Vivid doesnÂ’t actually have a copy but just alleges that it exists in the letter. So far, Usher has not made any public announcement about the alleged porn.
