Because turnabout is fair play, this week we will write stories about Tracy Fabre. Lying about Tracy is strongly encouraged. We'll steal opening lines from authors who've had good luck with them.
Your story may be serious or lighthearted or as silly as you like just so long as it is 100 words or less. Choose one of the following for the opening line of your story. You don't need to count this line in your word count.
Of all the things that drive men to sea, the most common disaster, I've come to learn, is women. From Middle Passage by Charles Johnson
"Take my camel, dear," From The Towers of Trebizond by Rose Macaulay
In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I've been turning over in my mind ever since. From The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The drought had lasted now for ten million years, and the reign of the terrible lizards had long since ended. From 2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke.
I write this sitting in the kitchen sink. From I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith
Pet Relief
I write this sitting in the kitchen sink, my feet in one half, and my bum in the other. How I got here is hard to explain, suffice it to say that if Tracy hadn’t come over, I wouldn’t be here.
She brought her pet over to meet me, I told her not to do that, but would she listen? Nooooo! Not only did she bring him over but she let him out of his cage, then she wanted me to pet him.
I remember backing up but when she held him out to me I lost it. A tarantula as big as my hand, I hate spiders!

Hey, look on the bright side. You never knew you were so limber!
Fun read my friend Pat.
I would definitely be on the ceiling, unless the spider began to climb the walls. Then I would slowly release the silk from my belly button and lower myself to the floor and out the front door. There's just something about spiders that makes me uncomfortable :)
Guess what ? I was bitten by a spider 3 weeks ago, it poisoned my arm and made me feel sick for 2 weeks.
GREAT take on the prompt, Patricia :)
