Hello fellow gatherers
I am just popping in for a quick update. I am currently waiting out the clock to go to work. i am working a night shift tonight, which is very strange for me. but the nice part about it is it is in the neighboring town. so its a very short trip.
The Bright Eyes concert last night was awesome! the opening band "The Myna Birds" were alright, nothing amazing, but nothing horrible, the lead singer was actually in Bright Eyes as well, she did a good job on both parts.
Bright Eyes was AMAZING after 10 years of listening to and loving them i finally got to see them and it was worth it! They played almost their entire new album "The People's Key" which i didnt expect. But they also played a pretty good mix of songs off their previous 6 full length albums. Needless to say it would be impossible to fit everyones favorites into a show. But they tried their best and played for over 2 hours. which isnt all that normal for a show like this. it was great.
However i did learn a life lesson. NEVER run a mile and a half (when you NEVER run otherwise) right before you go to a concert that you are going to be standing in the same spot for 4 hours...oh my poor legs...lol
anyway, i am trying to clear out some of the 500 emails i have let pile up from gather, so i will be off viewing and commenting on everyones stuff.
Hope you are well!
What are you doing today?

Have bunches of union papers to get filled out......you know, Ryan, I am so very thankful for our union and the gal over there who's helping me with everything....prescription meds coverage, hubby's disability (yep, he gets it through the union.....I hadn't known before!), retirement papers, etc.......
Just stopping with hello.
that way a mile and a half doesnt kill me, but is an every day thing.
Although it has been a long time for me. We saw them in Ann Arbor back in 2005 I think??? And it was a sit-down show haha. Yours was probably a little more exciting, minus the whole sore legs part haha.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
