I know one friend in Japan. I know not where she is. Her name is Mikiko Unemoto.
Japan’s rumbling hearts
Are crying out to the world
Let’s be there for them
Lest we all forget
Mother Nature’s awesome wrath
Remember Japan
My friend Mikiko,
Tonight I wonder of you
Praying you are safe.

Off solemn stretches of golden sand
Starry flowers of our time
Leave the world by Nature’s crime
The hours of this day will stand
A chaotic flash of blue and green
Within, our pain can be so mean
Forever etched in poignant scene
Homes and hearts, they both burned
And still I fear we’ll never learn
For all of us there’s no return
We look for faith heavenward
In hope they’ll be a just reward
