I guess everyone knows Miss Daisy's best friend, Mason. He is my daughter's Jack Russell. Well, he's had a Mass on his neck for a few months now. Yesterday he had surgery to remove it. They also had to pull 15 teeth! He's always had dental problems, but we didn't realize how bad it was until after the surgery. It's always so expensive to go to the Vet. My daughter was waiting on her tax refund to get this done. And so far, it's taken almost all of it. But, we are glad she could finally get this done.
The mass, they think they got it all. They are doing a biopsy on it and we'll know in about 3-5 days. Praying for good news on that.
On the way home from the Vet yesterday, Mason was glaring at her the whole way home, lol. She took this shot with her cell phone to let Grandma see how upset he was with her.
This morning she dropped him off for Daisy & I to take care of him while she is at work. I was worried Daisy would try and lick his stitches. Well, she went up to him, sniffed it and his mouth, licked him on his face and left him alone. Such a smart girl. She went through some dental surgery herself a few months back and knew how he was feeling.
I took this morning, poor little guy! I am so glad it is overwith, but, the incision is bigger than I expected.

It is so unfair how expensive it is to take care of our furbabies. If I ever win the lottery or come into a lot of money, I am going to open my own animal sanctuary to help people who can't afford to take their pets to the Vet. Bad enough most of the people in this country don't have health insurance and can't take care of their own medical needs. And it's so sad that so many people can't take their pets to the Vet when needed. I know I can't. If it wasn't for a very good friend, I wouldn't have been able to have Daisy taken care of a few months back. And she might not have been here today, if not for that.
My pets are my family. I know so many will agree with me on that.
Thanks for letting me share this. Everyone have a great weekend, the rain has stopped and the Sun is shining! ;)

I'm glad that 'Mason' is now home and recovering.
Blessings To You and your extended Loved Ones! :)
Yes, it's just very pathetic and frustrating about the skyrocking costs of healthcare, both for our pets and humans. Yesterday, the kid and I had to take Puddles, our Labradoodle to the vets to be boarded, as hubby came home last night, and I did not want to take any chances with Puddles ripping out the staples in hubby's chest. They informed me that Puddles needed a Distemper shot.....arghhhhh.....like $39......well, what was I to do? I said, fine, go ahead, as we didn't have a choice!!!!!!
Please know you all are in my prayers.
I hope your husband is better soon. So glad to hear he is home. take care, you and yours are in my prayers as well.
Hope that the results of the biopsy come back fine and that Mason recovers well!
15 teeth!?! thats a lot!
