This new and different way of thinking is the first part of the law of attraction in action. Our new and positive thought patterns will create positive actions, because like attracts like. These positive actions will attract positive people and events.
Affirmations to Assist the Law
Affirmations, repeated statements that affirm a belief or reality which we want in our lives, can be effective. By repeating positive things, out loud and quite often, we can show our subconscious minds that these things are true. The subconscious mind does not learn in the negative, it learns in the positive, or the present tense. So, if you think something and word it in a negative way, the subconscious literally has no idea what you're saying. If you word your thoughts in a positive or present manner, your subconscious understands.
For this reason, an affirmation is always stated in the present or future tense, and in the present tense whenever possible. As an example, we'll use an affirmation about love. â€œI want loveâ€ will do no good, because it indicates futile desire, but no action. â€œI will find loveâ€ is much better. However â€œI attract love and I love all things in returnâ€ is an ideal form of this particular affirmation, because it is using the present tense and it encompasses all forms of love.
