Felicia "Snoop" Pearson was arrested in a drug gang raid in Balitimore on Thursday. Pearson was arrested with over 60 people at the time. Felicia's claim to fame is acting on HBO's The Wire. Person's character, Snoop, was a hitwoman for a drug gang.
She is also known for being a rapper and an author. Unfortunately, she will now also be known for something far less glamorous.
What is glorified on screen is horrifying off screen. Sadly, once the film stops rolling, actor, and actresses return to their real lives and sometimes that life includes drugs and crime. Felicia "Snoop" Pearson has been charged "in a joint state-federal prosecutionÂ… [and] with conspiring with two men to distribute heroin and aiding and abetting."
Apparently, the Baltimore drug gang Felicia is accused of dealing with began selling drugs on Baltimore's streets in 2008. The drugs they were selling were marijuana purchased from California and heroin bought from New York. Along with the arrest of 64 people in the drug raid titled "Operation Usual Suspects," hundreds of federal, state and local officers also discovered" $69,000, four guns, marijuana and heroin."
Sadly, in Felicia "Snoop" Pearson's case, it seems as if life were imitating art. It's not everyday an actress who portrays a member of a drug gang actually goes out and does the exact thing in real life. Fortunately, none of the charges against Felicia were murder. One can only hope she didn't take on that aspect of her fictitious character. It's just kind of sad all around except Baltimore is a safer place today.
