More news for Thunderbolt Fans. It appears the HTC Thunderbolt release date might be up to four months away. Initially Verizon Wireless stated they anticipated a first quarter release of the new 4G LTE Android Smartphone, but now it has been announced that Verizon Wireless is anticipating the phone to be out by the first half of the year, meaning the end of second quarter.
This is certainly not going to make folks who have been anticipating the release of this device very happy. Why is Verizon Wireless even allowing a HTC Thunderbolt pre-order, if they are not even sure when they will have the device ready? Mind you all of these "rumored" release dates seem to be right on, since there have been several leaked Verizon memos, slides, advertisements, and even conversations. Not to mention the sales circulars from Best Buy showing the HTC Thunderbolt release date and pricing.
It looks like Verizon Wireless might want to step up their game, otherwise quite a few customers may jump ship and go to a different carrier altogether! While the Thunderbolt looks to be one spectacular phone, people are only going to maintain their patience for so long.
What do you think of the apparent delay in the HTC Thunderbolt release date? Do you feel this device is worth waiting an additional couple of months for?
