Julianne Moore will play Sarah Palin in the upcoming film, Game Change. Based on the novel written by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, the movie will feature all of the key politicians from the 2008 elections.
Moore is an interesting choice to play Sarah Palin -- surely most would have preferred Tina Fey -- but she is an excellent actress and will likely play the former Vice Presidential candidate well. Moore, an open liberal (is that an oxymoron?), will really be acting while playing one of the most conservative people on the planet!
The official press release from HBO states that Game Change, "follows John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign, from his selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate to their ultimate defeat in the general election."
If you've read the book then you clearly know how the film is going to go. The 2008 elections were a very big deal (more so than other elections in the U.S.) and to make a movie based on the events is only fitting.
