Suri Cruise, the pint-sized product of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will not have her pacifier taken away until she's ready to get rid of it!
Photos of the nearly five-year-old child sporting a pacifier swept across the internet sending waves of shock and surprise that a child her age was still allowed to have a pacifier. Reports out now state that as always, what Suri wants, Suri gets, and she has Scientology to thank for that.
"Suri just isn't told 'no' very often," an insider tells PopEater. "Scientology encourages you to make your own decision and learn lessons as you live your life. She'll know herself when it's time to throw the pacifier away, plain and simple."
What happens for the child that doesn't find that there's a time to ditch the pacifier? Most children at her age lost interest in it long before they come close to their fifth birthday, yet she clearly is still fond of the baby accessory. What's this say about her choices that she'll later make in life? Sometimes a parent needs to step in for the betterment of their child, religion or not. This not saying no to her only sets her up to feel like she runs the show around their house and that can never lead to anything good.
While it might seem like it's just an innocent pacifier and there's no harm caused in letting her keep it until she's ready to ditch it, it's actually setting the stage for what she'll be like in her teen years. Pacifier today, wild-child out of control tomorrow.
What do you think? Is it absurd that they are using religion to let her have her way even with things that can cause issues later in life? Weigh in below.
