Use two (or more) of these PAIRS of words to describe your day at the office.
hop / hope
glob / globe
cop / cope
lob / lobe
bar / bare
spit / spite
Two pairs from the list, that is, should be in your story.
Your story may be serious or lighthearted or as silly as you like just so long as it is 100 or fewer words.
Terror in Two
I stopped at the bar after work to bare my soul to Sid, the moonlighting cop turned bartender; it was the only way I could cope with day I had at the office.
“You would not believe the spite at work today. Bob spit at Marge, I watched Cecil lob a stapler at Denis and Tim bit Peggy on the ear lobe.” I shook my head. “I had to hop out of there early. I hope tomorrow’s a quieter day.”
Sid wiped a glob off the brass globe behind the bar. “It sounds tough at the Wee Kids Twin Daycare.”
