Ok, well - I had heard about NCP through a few different freebie and mom sites that I go to. I'd seen a few people post that they were members, recieved their scanners, and they all seemed very excited about NCP.
So - I signed up. I recieved a few e-mails asking me to fill out some surveys on my shopping habits, people in my household, etc.... They e-mailed me and said I was accepted and once there was an opening in my area I would be sent a scanner.
I pretty much forgot about NCP due to no e-mails from them for a few weeks and then last week a UPS guy knocked on my door with a package I had to sign for. It was the scanner!
I thought it was a bit strange, but was a bit excited too! I set up my scanner - hooking it up to my router and plugging it into the wall - and then searched my e-mail for the log in information for the NCP site.
I logged on and there was all my information and a bunch of new surveys to fill out. I was going grocery shopping that day, so thought it'd be perfect to try out the scanner.
I went grocery shopping, came home, scanned all my purchases and set the scanner back on the base.
Once a week it automatically sends my "scans" to where ever it sends them to.... lol...
SO - here's my question.... what they heck am I doing??? lol...
The NCP website seems quite vauge on information.
I can't seem to find any websites where people are talking about being an NCP scanner.
I'm quite confused on the whole process.
I haven't found any bad press on NCP online. I'm not quite worried about anything - scanning, etc...
I see that the points rack up quite slowly, so it's not like they are making me think I'm going to get a bunch of free stuff quick.
It doesn't SEEM like a scam.... I didn't put any money into it at all.
I guess I'm just looking for other people who have been doing this scanning for a while to let me know what I have to expect.
Will I ever get enough points to get anything good from the catalog?
