Charlie Sheen has had a banner week. Sort of. True, his sons were physically removed from his custody, but no one can deny that he's bounced right back. After conquering cyberspace with his new Twitter account, the former Two and a Half Men star has won himself a coveted place in the Guiness Book of Records. And now, he's just announced a new project. He's going to join his pal, Sean Penn in Haiti.
According to Hollywood Life, Charlie Sheen announced in his inimitable staccato style on PhiladelphiaÂ’s Wired 96.5 radio show, that he's been busy negotiating the return of Two and a Half Men to television. Almost in the same breath, he revealed to Access Hollywood, that he's also planning a trip to Haiti with his old pal Sean Penn. Apparently, the troubled actor believes that the Haitian odyssey will help distract attention away from all his recent negative press.Â
“We’re going to do a couple things first and then it looks like we’re heading down [to Haiti],” Charlie explained. “And I’m excited as hell because, you know, if I can bring the attention of the world down there, then clearly this tsunami keeps cresting.”
Indeed. Sheen is also optimistic about his return to network television in his wildly popular sitcom Two and a Half Men.  In fact, he intimated that the suits at CBS are finally beginning to see the light. In fact, they're practically on the verge of begging him to come back.Â
“I think we are getting close to something,” boasted Charlie. “I don’t want to say what but it just feels like all parties myself excluded are waking up, some hot spring in Middle Earth is finally ready to explode outward, embrace this man … Absolutely the gig’s coming back, I have absolute faith in that, not hope and I see us back on the air with a few adjustments, not only giving the people what they want and deserve.”
Well, there you have it. And it couldn't have been more lucidly or eloquently expressed.
Have a good trip to Haiti, Charlie. As for everything else... Well..., have a good trip.
