And I'm not watching the movie.

I will not view the video.
I know this will be controversial but my husband and I used to trap and sell furs. The animals were NEVER skinned while they were alive. We have not trapped for about 20 years but it is still done in our community.
I screen anyone who is wanting to buy my lambs. They are not sold for meat and I must see that the farm is a home that is appropriate for the noble creatures that the lambs will become.
John: an excellent practice. No kill shelters screen adoptive parents, and ask them to fill out forms and such to make sure the shelter kitties or doggies will go to good homes.
I've always believed that cats and dogs and horses are pretty much like people. The level of communication we can have with them. And pigs also have the intelligence of a 3 year old.
Tim Gunn likes to make sure the fashion students are aware, so they can make choices.

I am a member of the HSUS and The Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, and see more of these types of videos than I care to. I do it because I feel I must speak for the creatures that cannot speak for themselves. I do not and will not wear fur, and limit the amount of leather I buy, but there is so much more that needs to be done. This is just a small part of what generates animal cruelty for the almighty dollar.
Every time I see a snobby elitist with her D & B or Gucci handbag, or Prada shoes I want to sit her in front of these videos and make her watch for hours. "Now, is your purse worth that?"
and my daughter tells me the wool shearing causes a lot of blood and infection and that silk worms have been so inbred for centuries they can no longer fly
If only the fashion industry could get rat and mouse fur to be in fashion; we would kill two birds with one stone :-D)
Frightening! Thank you for sharing!
