LOL, there are some down sides to the iPad, it didn't have a way to sync to a computer, and a few other things I can't remember, that made it a total downer for me. I just got my iphone and I have to say its probably one of the easiest phones I've had to use. I don't like a couple things on it like no expandable memory, and crappy camera, but I rarely use my phone for camera, a couple times I have but not often.

Only reason I got the iPhne? it was 20.00 yeap that's it....

Me what did I spend big bucks on?
A new lens for my camera.

How'd you get an iPhone for $20? Wow!!

The camera's not as good as my camera, but it's a lot better than the camera in my last phone.

I wish the battery lasted longer.

Now that I know that they don't sync properly, I may never get an iPad. I can't think of anything I would need an iPad for that I can't already do with an iPhone, and a laptop.

ATT has the 3Gs refurbished for 20.00, the new ones are 49.99, I guess its the economy.people can't afford 200-300.00 for a new phone.....I know i can't. My Xperia was 100.00.....and my son got that because his broke.

We don't have AT&T up here in Canada anymore, so I don't think I'd be able to get that kind of deal. Sure would have been nice, though.

Apple has to remain competitive and this year is suppose to be the year of the tablet. There are several tablets that have hit the market a Samsung Galaxy, Motorola Xoom, Arcos and Blackberry has one. I think there are a few more. I am such a gadget person that I really want one but each time I think I know what I want a new one is introduced. I was so close to getting the Samsung Galaxy but this week saw the ads for the Xoom and now I have no idea which is better. Probably best if I just wait until the prices drop a bit or I start seeing more reviews.

What's amusing is that Apple is building a plant here in Ontario in Waterloo (Canadian equivalent to Silicon Valley) right next to Blackberry.

Linda, I know what you mean about the gadgets. I bought the Apple ones because of certain Apps that interested me, and because having a music player was super-important to me

Walker, I find it amusing as Hell that they are building the store so close to Blackberry. LOL The thing I like is if I need replacement headphones, or a repair on one of my devices, I can just go to Waterloo. I'll add that to my list of excuses to go there, and to stop at the Serbian restaurant in Kitchener while I'm at it. And if we have to go to Waterloo anyway, we might as well go have fun with our friends at CKWR. :)

I played with the Galaxy at Radio Shack while my hubby was looking for some parts. It's a fun little device. I can't see a personal need for one, but I can see why the Pads are becoming popular.

I don't have any Apple products and I never will. A friend from the Navy bought a MacIntosh and had nothing but trouble with it. I've had the computer I'm now using for 6 years and it's still growing strong! I believe in Dell.

Leah, I laughed when I read your title because when I read about the new Ipad, I had almost the exact same thought! LOL.

I've got my desktop computer. I'm getting a little, cheap, netbook computer to use for school. I can't imagine myself needing any of these phones that are basically itty bitty computers, or needing something like an Ipad.

I think the Ipad looks fun, but whew, a new one already?!

I love my iPod, and iPhone, but I certainly don't need an iPad with those two little assistants working for me. I like the little ones for their size, and music playing capabilities.

The first ipad came out in April 2010 so it has been out for almost a year. Now a days that is old. lol I bought my husband an ipad for Christmas. I wish I had waited so I could get the newer one. Oh well. He is not complaining. He loves his ipad.

I'm glad he loves the one he has. I often wait a few generations, and wait till technology becomes cheaper. I wanted an iPhone, so I waited till the new one came out, and then bought the old one.

We usually do too. I bought it for him though because he wanted it really bad. Apple was having a special a little before Christmas where if you ordered it onlline it was $50 cheaper than normal and they offered free shipping.
