The story in Star magazine was a total fabrication and accused Katie Holmes of using a device that Scientologists refer to as an "e-meter," which they claim "emits a low-level electric charge that goes to the brain" and gives its user "a temporary feeling of euphoria, followed by a crash and a craving for more," the way opiates do. Unfortunately, the tabloid can't even write a story to match its cover. Nowhere in article did it actually suggest that Kate Holmes is using drugs as its cover suggests.
A rep for Katie Homes said to website, TheWrap.com, "The cover is libellous no matter what they say inside the magazine."  Although Star magazine isn't exactly considered a reliable source, you can't blame Katie for being upset. Hopefully Katie wins her case and make this tabloid pay.
If she wins, what do you think she should do with the money? Should she donate the cash or keep it for herself? Share your thoughts below.
