Some fans who are waiting for the HTC Thunderbolt release, by Verizon Wireless, got a little antsy and decided to hunt for a loophole, so they could order the device. On the HTC website you can actually add the Thunderbolt to your cart, but you cannot check out. Looks like all the fans waiting for the new phone will now have something else to occupy their time with.
In an article at Android Community, to add the device to your cart, all you have to do is copy an address on a different product page, change the number to the Thunderbolt product number and submit! It is so simple. But sadly, it will still not gain the ability to actually purchase the HTC Thunderbolt.
As of yet, Verizon Wireless has not set a confirmed HTC Thunderbolt release date. However, the latest rumor says the phone will be released on March 4th. Of course, holding your breath is not recommended, because the Thunderbolt has already been delayed several times.
At this point, customers just want the phone out. It doesn't appear they even care if all of the planned functions are ready. Then again, if the phone is released, and does not work properly even with all the delays, there are going to be a lot of disgruntled Verizon Wireless customers out there.
Have you checked out the Thunderbolt on the HTC website? If so, did you try adding the HTC THunderbolt to your cart? Have all the delays caused you to consider purchasing a different phone? Why do you feel the device has been delayed so many times?
