Since my husband and I are both transplants to Nashville, and we got married here, we had a lot of out-of-town wedding guests when we got married last July. We thought that it was so nice of our family and friends from out of state to travel to be with us on our special day, so to thank them, they were greeted with welcome bags at the hotel when they checked in.
All we had to do was ask the hotel to pass them out as our guests checked in, and they did it free of charge. Beware though: some hotels charge you per bag, so make sure you ask before you plan on doing this!
We wanted to make our guests feel welcomed to Nashville, so we included things like a Nashville guidebook and Nashville maps. We bought a package of white gift bags from Michael's to put it all in. Each room got one bag full of goodies.

We also included some Tennessee favorites like Moon Pies and Goo Goo Clusters (along with other snacks like Fig Newtons and Cheez-Its)

As an extra little touch, we also gave our guests some of these Spirit of Nashville post cards for them to save as souvenirs (or to mail!):

We got married at Cheekwood,
so I made sure to save one of these for our scrapbook :)
