There Is An App For That - ICE -iEmergency+ Medical APP Review

I am sure you have all heard of ICE.  A few years ago it was the big topic on the Internet.  They suggested you add the Contact ICE (In Case of Emergency) to your cell phone.  You then added your emergency contact in that area.  The idea was to make it easy for Emergency  Personal to reach your emergency contact person if you were unable to tell them who to call.

With the new smart phones that idea is outdated.  There is a really cool APP called iEmergency ICE 

iEmergency+

iEmergency is an ICE (In Case of Emergency) Medical App designed to hold your medical information and ICE contacts in the event of an emergency or accident.

Did you know that there are over 115 million trips to the ER each year in the United States. Many of these people who are taken to the ER are not able to talk to give medical personal any information about their medical history or allergies.

I have a long list of medications that I am allergic too as well as many serious medical problems.   I currently carry a day planner everywhere I go.  All the nurses that work in our local ER know that all my information is in my day planner.  I also wear a medical ID bracelet.

I was thrilled to find this APP to add to my Apple iPhone. It adds a photo of my emergency contact person to my phone along with that persons phone number.  This information shows up as soon as the phone is touched. It has the universal photo for Medical Emergency and says to open the iEmergency APP for my medical information.  My wallpaper on my iPhone is now just like this except I added my husband's photo where this has a scenery photo. Mine also says "Many Allergies" where this photo says pennicilin/

 

 

Once the medical personal open my iEmergency APP.  They will be able to pull up the following information:

My photo & Full Name

Date of Birth

My  blood type

Organ Donor (yes or no)

3 Emergency Contact Numbers (Name & Phone Number) - The emergency contacts will be automaticly called when their name is touched personal & group numbers

 

 

 

 

Medical Record Number

Physician and contact number

Insurance Information such as name, number and plolicy number

 

 

 

 

 

 

My previous surgeries

 My Drug  Allergies

Current medications

Medical Problems or Conditions

 

 

 

 

 

 

The best and most helpful part of this APP is the Wallpaper Creator - This is where you will be able to control what information and photos are added as your wallpaper on your phone just like on your computer.  This is where I added a photo of my husband with his contact number.  It shows up on the front of my iPhone. You have several options to set this wallpaper the way you want.

 

 

 

 

 

This APP also has a built in help section.

I rate this APP 4 out of 5 Star

It is worth the .99 I paid for it.  I am glad I purchased the better one instead of opting for the free one. I have too many medical problems to not have all my information on my phone.

I loved the fact that it was easy to add all 17 of my medical allergies on the app.

It was easy to add all my current medications as well.

I highly recommend this APP. It could save your life.

I have used this APP for over a week now and I love it. I do have a couple of pieces of information that I would like to see added. I emailed the company with my suggestions.

With exception to the first photo, I got all the photos from the official KAVAPOINT site

I highly recommend this APP for anyone who has medical problems of any kind. It was so easy to set up and even if you don't want to download the APP, you can get some free information from the website.

this seems like a really good idea. even my old phone came with an "Emergency numbers" heading that was first on my contacts and the contacts that were in it (up to 3) were in red as opposed to the normal black.

With all my medical problems this APP could save my life. I have serious medical problems along with lots of medicine allergies. I have implants that prevents me from being able to receive MRI's as well. In case of an emergency the medical personal need this information.

I used your code for the other APP. Make sure you get the extra points.

You can always get a medical alert bracelet or tag. I wrote down all I could about my parents and carried the sheet around in my wallet, meds etc. It made it easier in emergencies.

Once my mother had a heart attack while my Dad was out and her pills evidently were old and weren't working...according to the EMT's I called. It was a frustrating call because after they arrived, she forgot -altzheimers- what was going on and said she was fine... they realized she wasn't and took her to the hospital...where we were told she had a heart attack.

You can lock your phone and all they can see is the first part. It will have your emergency contact name and number and mine also has Roger's photo. He is my emergency contact of course.

Like I explained in the review, I have all my information in my day planner but this is so much easier to carry than that big old thing. I too wear an emergency ID bracelet. I have too many allergies to put on the back of the bracelet though. My ID Bracelet will open but I have so many allergies, medical problems and such that they will not all fit in the bracelet box.

I love this APP. It could save my life. I am allergic to common medicines like they would normally give me in case of an emergency.

I even have all my information at the local 911 office. When my phone number shows up on the 911 caller ID, a red light will blink telling them of my medical emergencies. If I do not talk to them, they automatically send an ambulance to my home. They also have my permission to tell the Paramedics of my situation. My medical problems are serious. I can't take the chance of not being prepared.

I love it and it is so much easier just to carry my iPhone instead of that big day planner I was having to carry with all the information I have to carry. I am learning the benefits of putting my iPhone to use for so many things.

I just love this APP. It gives me peace of mind. I am allergic to so many medications that I live in fear of a major accident where I can't tell medical personal about my allergies. I could die if I am given some of them.

I was taken to an ER that was not familiar with my medical history once. The person who took me did not know that I carried a paper with all my information on it. I was unable to speak or even know what was going on.

I swear this is the truth. I know it sounds unbelievable but it is true.

They were about to put a medication in my IV. For some reason I suddenly became aware and ask what it was. They already had the needle in the IV ready to hit the plunger.

They stopped and told me it was Raglan. I pulled the IV out.

I am allergic to Regan. It paralyzed me. I was in the hospital for over two weeks after taking it. They said I would never be able to walk correctly or use my right hand/arm again.

They were wrong. I no longer walk even with a limp. I do have a bit of a problem with strength in my right arm and hand but nobody can tell it unless they are looking for it.

In the past I had inscribed on my medical ID bracelet to see Day Planner. I just had too much vital information that there was not enough room to have it added on my bracelet.

My bracelet has a door on the front to put a small piece of paper but it would not even hold my allergies. LOL

This new APP is great and I feel so much better knowing it is active in case of an emergency.

I have all my bases covered in my local community. I have my info on the 911 data base and I personally know everyone at the local hospital ( small communities have their advantages).

This is a major improvement for sure. It just may save your life if you have major medical problems. I am well pleased with it. I had a few suggestions for making it better but I love it the way it is.

It really is a great APP for iPhones. iPhones are the future and they have the ability to make life so much easier.

I do hope that anyone with medical problems will download this APP or at least the free version.

I have been using an APP to put my grocery list on and Now I never have to worry about forgetting it at home. LOL Works for me.

AT&T currently has a special where you can get an Apple iPhone for $49. with new contract of 2 years. I was not under contract. We had not been under contract for many years now.

My implant tore up my other phone and I had to get a new one. I love this iPhone & the price was unbeatable.

This APP could save someones life.

"When a Tragedy Hits - The Time To Prepare Is OVER"

Medical emergencies can be fatal if you are allergic to a medication. This APP can help prevent that problem. I feel more at ease knowing I have my info where any medical professional can readily find it.

I have the old pre paid cell phone doesn't have apps, Cannot afford the new fangled cell phones with all the bells and whistles. Don't want one even. Don't even like the one I have it has just too much junk on it I never use. But I do have ICE in my contact list and those to contact in case of an emergency. I should write down in my day planner things though. Like my blood type, My ailments I live with and what meds or suppliments I use and what I am allergic too like Erythomysin and Penicillin.

You really should write all that important information in your day planner. It is very important and could save your life.

My implant put out such strong signals that it tore my cell phone up. I was not going to invest in an iPhone but AT&T currently has a deal where you can get one for $49. That is CHEAP. I love it! It is saving me stress in so many ways.

I now add my store list on my iPhone. Never have to worry about forgetting it at home. I have the above APP downloaded with all my medical information on it.

We have Unlimited Texting, Unlimited calls to anyone with a cell phone no matter what company they use.

I love music and I have downloaded the Pandora APP for constant music. I use it at home with my WIFI so it does not even take anything from my data plan.

I have added my scriptures on my iPhone. It is great because I can read it anywhere and it does not take up extra space. Up Until now I had a set of scriptures that I cut the binding off of and added holes in it to put in my day planner. That way I did not have to carry extra books.
