For some reason I missed this news brief... John Dye found dead at 47 from a heart attack in his home on January 10, 2011.
Again... How did I miss this? I was an avid fan of Touched By An Angel, especially of John Dye. For some reason he seemed to have a different take on life and he really cared for people. He just didn't say he cared, he proved it by helping so many by being there for them. Not just his friends, but strangers as well.
I watched Touched By An Angel all day yesterday on Hallmark and just decided to google him wondering what he was up to. I literally just c
ried like a baby when I read that he had passed away. I am still in shock. I had dreams about him all night long.
I know it's crazy to have such feelings for someone you've never met, but he stood for a lot of causes that I too believed in. Plus he had strong Christian values as well.
He was one of three celebrities that I would have loved to have spent one day with speaking about the passions within his heart. He not only just said he cared about people, but he backed it up by his actions an what he did to help them. He hated the fact that there was so much hatred and disharmony amongt us in this world. He so wanted us all to live in peace.
I feel like I lost a family member. Ironically, I left condolences on one of the websites and one of his fans contacted me this morning and told me how she was moved by the kind words I spoke about John.
We have been sending emails all day long concerning what a postive impact that he made on our lives. We are just both stunned that he had such an effect on us.
I was listening to an interview with his father in which he told reporters that he encouraged John to slow down, that he was working too hard. Then with a sigh he stated: " I guess he didn't listen. His heart just gave out." Then he calmly shrugged his shoulders and let out another sigh. I want to cry just thinking about it.
The world won't be the same without him. He will be greatly missed.

So Sorry to hear this! :(
Think I'm going to have to go on Amazon.com and see about purchasing the entire set of programs.....that would be wonderful to have for a family collection.
It's still incredibly difficult to believe John Dye is no longer with us!
