Christina Aguilera, 30, is down, literally, on her luck, as she almost falls off the stage. After a great singing performance at the Grammy Awards, she tripped, stumbled or just plain fell to the floor. Maybe she tripped over her skirt, reports AOL. Possibly, she tumbled off her own sexy high heels. Possibly, she was otherwise impaired.
Anyway, it was a fall to remember, coming just one week after her unfortunate mangling of a few lyrics in the National Anthem. A real downer. The rest of America does know the words, after all.
Tonight, the number was a showstopper: Five hot ladies of son
g, all joined and backing up one another in a compilation of each singer’s favorite hit. They shared the spotlight in a group rendition of Aretha Franklin’s “You Make Me feel (Like a Natural Woman)” and then Martina McBride, Yolanda Adams, Florence (of Florence and the Machine) and Jennifer Hudson--and Christina Aguilera herself, all had their moment in the spotlight. Aguilera sang her own “Ain’t No Way”.
Then they finished up with another quintet version of “Sisters are Doin’ It for Themselves”. It was during their bows that the stumble happened. So far, we can only speculate. Christina Aguilera came back on stage and said, "And that was a real sexy ending!"
