According to TMZ, after two and a half years of marriage, Ashlee Simpson just filed for divorce from Pete Wentz, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce.
Ashlee Simpson claims she is filing this divorce because Pete is too erratic and can't handle his crazy behavior. Sources connected to soon-to-be-ex-husband, Pete, states that this claim is b.s. and that they simply grew apart. After the birth of their child, Bronx, Ashlee wanted to get out of the business, while Pete wants to continue touring and making music.
Both parties agree that no third party was involved that resulted in the filing of this divorce. Sources tell TMZ that the couple has no prenup.
One issue that has emerged is the custody of Bronx. Apparently, Pete wants joint legal and physical custody, while Ashlee's divorce papers asks for primary physical custody.
