Pacman Google Doodle Still Popular Today

The Pacman Google Doodle is still popular today, despite the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea release this morning.

The Google Doodle changes for various holidays or events, like Black History Month, ValentinesÂ’ Day, or Veterans Day. Today, in honor of Jules VerneÂ’s birthday, is aÂ 20000 Leagues Under the Sea theme.

Sure, it allows you to move a vessel in all directions and is full of trivia, but that's where the line in the sand is drawn.

Just ask anyone who grew up in the '80's about Pacman, and the look on their face is astonishing. It's a universal house-hold name that carries a lot of weight.

Back in May 2010, the Pacman Google Doodle celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Pacman game. You could actually open it in a new browser and play the game: 255 levels of Pacman!

That one was fun. But you can still play those old games on other sites. Like I signed up with Console Classix, where you can play lots of old Atari, Nintendo, and Sega games from the Atari 2600 to Nintendo N64. It's pretty sweet because when I was a kid I couldn't afford those and now I can play them for like $6/month! There are a few Pac-Man games on there.

true but who wants to pay when you can play for free????? Or buy it once and play it whenever you want.

If you only want to play Pac Man then that's the way to go. I've been playing lots of different games. I'm almost finished with "Donkey Kong Country 2" for the SNES!

And actually the NES and Atari 2600 games are free; you only have to pay if you want to use one of the more advanced systems.
