Moms around the country are saying recent Lea Michele of Glee fame magazine covers are way too racy. They are saying that Michele has a responsibility to their kids--most of whom are tweens and pre-teens, to keep things a bit more "buttoned up."
According to a report from FOXNews, two recent magazine covers have depicted Michele in both sexy attire and provocative poses.
New York mother of Glee fans, Kim Trefcer, had the following to say to FOXNews about the Cosmopolitan and GQ magazine covers featuring the Glee star.
“I think Lea Michele is sending the wrong message.  She plays such a ‘good girl’ on ‘Glee’ and a lot of kids look up to her persona.  Then she poses very provocatively on two magazine covers which makes my almost-13-year-old son very confused and offended,” Trefcer says. “ I find it frustrating as a parent who is trying to teach right from wrong to their kids and then you have things like this happen which is showing middle schoolers things like sex sells and all that goes along with that.”
Do you think this and other moms have a valid point? On Glee, Lea Michele plays the role of a wholesome and talented over-achiever. There's only one thing she appears to be achieving on these magazine covers, and it isn't all too wholesome! Does she truly have a responsibility to uphold to her young fans?
Should these mothers who have concerns about their kid's high regard for the actress simply lay low and toss it off to Hollywood normalcy? Or should they continue vocalizing their concerns in hopes that the Glee good girl stops portraying a bad girl image?
What do you think?
