The Super Bowl is this Sunday, what’s your thought?
1. Go Packers! 2. Go Steelers! 3. I’ll watch for the commercials 4. I couldn’t care less about the Super Bowl 5. Football? Hey, it's only 12 days until Spring Training!
My teams didn't make it this year so I'm rooting for the Packers, I want to see the commercials, and it is the last football game this winter so I want to say goodbye!
This is a rough one for me as they are two of my favorite teams. I'll either alternate cheering for one and then the other, or I'll cheer for one in the first quarter and alternate after that.
Doesn't matter who plays, the commercials are always something I look forward to.
First answer: Go Pack! Thoughtful answer: on the one hand, football is a rather silly game. Fortunes are made or lost in part by how long you can avoid serious injury. And the "my team is better than your team" mentality on one level also seems rather childish. What do I have to do with whether the Packers win or lose? That said, the Packers is a unique organization. It's the last grass roots team left in the NFL. And there's a comradery among Packer fans which stretches world wide. I think there's value in that. So: my team is better than your team, and the Packers will win the Super Bowl. And if they lose, they and their true fans will continue to hold their heads high. Go Packers!
Go Packers!... I just love the fact that they are the only community owned professional sports franchise in the U.S.... Though I seldom watch football games, I’ve been rooting for them since the early 90’s.
I'm not sure what alternate universe that is but I like it! The big news here is a new Vikings stadium. They're working to balance the state's budget and with just a week left, state republicans refuse to compromise on a tax increase on the wealthiest Minnesotans, but everyone seems to be in agreement on raising taxes to help fund a new stadium.
