Piers Morgan Tonight was given a new schedule indicating that the sassy British interviewer is all set to go live tonight talking about the Egypt crisis with experts on this urgent matter. Meanwhile, his Colin Firth and Kid Rock taped interviews will come out later this week and on into next week.
This change of plans is due to ongoing CNN coverage of the uprising in Egypt, during which Piers Morgan participated on Friday and will do so again tonight.
Meanwhile, more fun and frivolous interview subjects than a country in a state of unrest are in the can and ready to air, with Colin Firth (and colleagues Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter from The King's Speech) set for Thursday, February 3. The Kid Rock interview is set for February 7.
In addition, on Tuesday, Piers Morgan has Mitt Romney and Tony Blair scheduled, while Barbara Walters is scheduled for Wednesday. Whether or not these interview subjects will be seen on the small screen at these times depends on what happens in Egypt and/or elsewhere in the world, given that CNN is primarily a news channel and gives preference to breaking news.
That said, in its inaugural month, Piers Morgan Tonight has had to roll with the news waves, going live about Egypt tonight and all set with fresh interviews with Colin Firth and Kid Rock later in the month.
Are you unhappy about this turn of events? Will you tune in? Do you like Piers Morgan Tonight? Thoughts? Thanks.
