Continuing on our walk through the Hall of Mosses. We will see more uniquely-attired trees and close in on some details of flora and fauna. A natural archway...

Among the giants...

More eerie moss-covered trees...

The treetops...

Small colorful beings...we did not find any green ones this time.

The nurse log from which this tree sprang has disappeared...

A dead giant, now home and sustenance for other forms of life...woodpeckers, fungi, moss

A moss cap on the phone booth near the visitor center...

The underside of a tree...an overturned stump on the way to the visitor center

Just amazing. So beautiful. When we visited Seattle me, my daughter, and my niece were all for a "road trip" to Forks ("Twilight" fans! LOL) but the guys vetoed that. :)

I agree, Tanya. I am curious about nighttime, too. I did have to get up during the night when we were camping (!) and the air was very moist and cool, and it was quiet, except for the sound of the river.
