I love spaghetti and meatballs, this recipe is my mom's and I won't eat anyone's but hers. For me nothing compares and I am a picky eater. I have made some changes to her original recipe.
2 large cans Hunts Tomato Sauce
1 medium can Hunts Tomato Sauce
Garlic Powder
Oregeno
Place all this in a pot bring to a boil and simmer for 2 hours.
Meatballs
3 pounds ground chuck
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste
garlic powder
parmesan cheese
I don't measure it's more a sight thing for me but I do put in at least 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese in the meatballs.
Mix this all together and form meat into meatball. I don't make them too big as I want them to be throughly cooked.
Fry the meatballs in a pan browning on all sides. Hubby likes them well browned.
Add to sauce and cook for at least 2 hours.
Make your favorite spaghetti according to the package directions.
We like garlic bread with our spaghetti. It's a simple recipe but I have had this since I was a kid and my kids love it. Hubby too.
