Donald Sutherland will receive his Hollywood Walk of Fame star today. The distinguished actor has appeared in over 130 films in addition to television. His star will be the 2,430th star on the famous sidewalk.
The ceremony honoring Donald Sutherland will be at 11:30 A.M. next to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. He will be joined by President of Universal Studios Ron Meyer.
The amazing thing about SutherlandÂ’s star is that it will be located right next to his son Kiefer SutherlandÂ’s star. It will be nice for the two men to be memorialized together on the sidewalk.
“The Eagle,” Sutherland’s latest film, will be hit theaters on February 11, 2011. In the film he will play the uncle of a young centurion played by Channing Tatum. The movie is an epic Roman adventure. You can watch the trailer for the movie below.
In his long career, Sutherland has won Emmy and Golden Globe awards for his role as Stephen Rea in the 1995 HBO movie “Citizen X.” The actor also won a Golden Globe for the role of Clark Clifford in HBO’s “Path to War.”
