My son and I just started walking last week. I was trying to keep it around 10 or 15 minutes, to start slow. But we both think it is too short and we both feel like walking longer. Tonight we went for about 25 minutes and I finally found a pedometer to use. Just under 2 miles.
It is picking up. I hope to be doing really well by the time the weather is warm. I want to check into walking laps in the fellowship hall at church. We walked about a mile and a half outside this morning.
I bought one from Amazon,made by Oregon Instruments. It will read in steps, miles or kilometers. Most pedometers I have had have some of those options. You have to set it up first by calculating the length of your steps, then it is specific to you.

What kind of pedometer do you have that tells you the mileage? Or are you just able to figure out your mileage from your steps ?
