Diane, I lived in Joliet a couple of years, so I know. You can't tell if snow is hitting or not. The stupid wind blows it all the time, so it merely drifts around in the air and rarely lands. You could have three feet of snow and never know it, other than harder to see. lol

I am. It is tee shirt and sandals weather. Its almost swimsuit weather.

17 degrees is way too cold. December 2008 here we got a record 18 inches of snow, and for weeks the temp never got much above freezing. Don't remember the lows, but seems to me close to single digits.

Keep telling yourself that, but we're not even done January! February is traditionally the bad month. lol

Honestly, when the temps didn't go above 30 from Thanksgiving until Christmas, I was sure this would be like other cold years - cold now, but mild in January. At this point in time, I'd punch Mother Nature, if I ever saw her. We had 2 days, so far this winter, that made it over 40! I'm not from New England. I'm not used to space heaters on all the time. We reserve them only when it goes below 40!

Can't I punch someone? Pleeeeeeeeeease!
