I'm not sure how many people here play MMORPGs, but I know there are at least a few! I used to play EverQuest back in the day. I loved that game so much, but there came a time when other games were coming out-- including EverQuest II-- and all of my friends and I decided to move on. Well, we tried EQ II, and it wasn't great. I moved on to WoW, but wasn't really impressed. (It's a good game; I'll give it the credit for attracting so many players, but the look and feel just wasn't what I personally was after for my gaming needs.) From there, I beta tested & tried Vanguard, which released way too soon and pretty much flopped. After that, I did play Pirates of the Burning Sea, which was a lot different than the other games, but in the end my gaming desires fizzled out.
A lot of my friends play WoW, but I had no real interest in playing that again for personal reasons of preference. I haven't really looking to get back into gaming at all, necessarily. But another friend told me about a game that's still in the beta testing stage but releasing in spring-- Rift.
It's a game along similar lines to WoW and the like, but from the sound of it, a lot more dynamic and customizable. You pick a main class, but then can also choose aspects & spells from other classes to augment that and create a handful of different 'builds' for your character. Also, the rifts open up across the world and start invasions and such that you must combat.
And there are mechanical ponies.
Sooo, since the beta testing is free, I figured 'what the heck, I'll try it!'
The point of this post, though? I have 25 keys to get others into the beta events. (It's a closed beta with specific events that run every so often.) The game only took me maybe an hour (or a little over that?) to download and patch, and we'll see how well it runs on my computer.
So, if you want a beta key to get you into the events, just let me know :)

I now play the free version of LotRO but honestly I haven't even played more than a few hours of that. My hubby doesn't like the limitations.
I read recently that EQ2 has also moved to a free to play version. I bet it sucks LOL.
I'll PM you with the VIP code! :) Next event starts Tuesday... it'll be my first, woohoo!
I am not going to read this post because I don't even understand the title. All the strange words and phrases shortened to things like "MMORPG". I cannot take any more! I am computer/internet retarded enough already. I know it! I will NEVER understand half of what kids in grade school know now. I QUIT!! hastalavista, baby!
Anyway, I've been shopping for a new tv on Amazon and all the LCD, HDTV, LED, IPS, DVD, SD, HDMI, HD, etc. have pushed me over the edge..........
