Roger Ebert is making a lot of headlines lately. The movie critic revealed his face prosthesis, which he will be wearing during the "Roger's Office" segment of his new show. Additionally Ebert has his yearly Oscars predictions contest ready to roll.
According to an article at Gather.com, the Oscar nominations will arrive next week, and the event will be held in February with actors James Franco and Anne Hathaway hosting the show.  James Franco and Anne Hathaway?  That pair is likely to draw a crowd of viewers, even without it being for the Oscars!
On Thursday Roger Ebert posted a blog entry about his Outguess Ebert contest where lucky contestants can have a shot at all, or part of a $100,000 prize, the largest ever for his contest. Â According to the blog, once the Oscar nominations are released next week, Ebert says he will "make my best guesses in all 24 categories." Â What an interesting contest! Â Good luck to anyone giving this a go! This writer is not brave enough to go up against such a well-known movie critic!
Once Roger Ebert makes his guesses, contestants will have the opportunity to Outguess Ebert. "Outguess me before the contest deadline on Oscar Day, February 27, and win."
Ebert advises fans not to worry about him guessing all, and taking the winnings for himself, "If I get all 24 right, I will not, alas, win the $100,000. Not to worry. I never come close, although I once got 10 of the top 11." Gosh, just when everyone thought Ebert could cash in on this deal!
It seems Roger Ebert has not missed a step at all since having been diagnosed and treated for Cancer. Â Ebert underwent surgeries which removed much of the lower portion of his face, but this has not deterred him from the spotlight! Â Good luck Mr. Ebert!
