Larisa Oleynik may be best known for her roles on the children's show The Secret World of Alex Mack, on 3rd Rock From the Sun, and in 10 Things I Hate About You. She was in one episode of this past season of Mad Men, "Chinese Wall," and now she'll be recurring on Hawaii Five-0 for the rest of season 1 (and if she--and the series--stays around, she could even be getting a promotion for a second season).
Oleynik on H50
TVLine has reported that Larisa Oleynik’s character will be “Jessica Kaye, an ex-CIA analyst and Harvard graduate with a degree in Political Science and Masters in Global Security and Intelligence Studies who is fresh off the plane from Langley, Virginia.” She joins the others as they go after Wo Fat, but she has her own reasons: he “was responsible for the murder of her fiancé, a well respected CIA field agent.”
Hawaii Five-0 has recently shown Steve to be stepping up his investigation into his mother’s death, and he did reach a few new developments in the first episode after hiatus, “Ke Kinohi.” This seems to be a story line that will become a bigger part of the rest of season 1, especially with Oleynik joining the cast.
She has definitely grown up since her days as Alex Mack, but she still does have that innocent look. Do you think this will be an advantage or disadvantage for her character?
