'The Game' Season 4, Episode 2 BET TV Show - 'The Confession Episode' Recap

BET aired "The Game" season 4, episode 2 on Tuesday, January 18, 2011.  The latest installment was called "The Confession Episode" and focused on Melanie revealing the truth to Derwin about his son, while Jason was lashing out against his football team, the Sabers.

Last week's episode broke records for its number of viewers.  BET was hoping the hour-long premier episode would have a large number of viewers tuning in again Tuesday night.  So what happened on the latest episode?

Early on, Tasha and Kelly have a heart-to-heart lunch, where Tasha apologizes to patch things up between them.  Of course it's all done on camera for Kelly's reality show.  The girls and the camera crew head over to Melanie's house. Melanie reveals she's having a major crisis over issues at home with Derwin and not telling him that the paternity test revealed him as the baby's daddy.

Jason goes on a show called "Benched Sports Talk" to talk about being released by the Sabers.  Chris Webber is one of the show's hosts.  Jason starts dishing the dirt on his teammates Derwin and Malik on the air.  Webber objects to Jason's treatment of his teammates.  Malik shows up on the set to throw condoms at Jason, telling him that people are doing the same to him following Jason's comments on air.  Jason tells Malik he could have told him the Sabers were going to cut him.

Of course, Derwin comes home to find Melanie patching up the wall where me punched a hole on last week's episode.  That happened when Derwin was told that Janay's son wasn't his.  Of course, when he finds out the truth, he creates another hole in the same spot.  Janay arrives out to hand official results of the DNA test to Derwin, then tells him she'll be taking him to court for custody and increased child support.  This creates further tension between Melanie and Derwin.

Derwin goes to the "Benched" show set to talk things over with Malik and Jason about his situation with Melanie.  Jason tries to convince Derwin to take Melanie to court for lying to him.  Meanwhile, Malik takes the opposite side of things and tells Derwin as a football player he should have got DNA paternity tests done a while ago.

Chris Webber introduces Jason at an honorary party for the newest member of "Benched Sports Talk."  Jason performs his "Dip and Pits 2011" rap song for the party crowd.  Chris Webber grabs some footage on his cell phone to laugh at later on, while the crowd seems confused over what's going on.  The DJ eventually stops the music and Jason leaves the scene all embarrassed.  Webber jokes that Jason will be opening for MC Hammer next week.

"The Game" episode 2 ends with Melanie about to leave the house as she tells Derwin she wants to give him space.  Derwin says he prayed all day long about everything.  Derwin tells Melanie from now one he wants her to go to church every Sunday.  He also tells her not to bring up Janay and his son again, because it's his business.  Melanie asks if everything will be ok, and Derwin says "all I know is I'm here right now." 

"The Game" features stars Tia Mowry, Pooch Hall, Coby Bell and Brittany Daniel.  The TV show airs each week on Tuesdays at 10 PM EST on BET.  Next week is sure to be another hilarious and dramatic turn in this weekly series about the Sabers and all the individuals connected to the team!
