Good Morning gather! We had a ice/snow storm sweep through Virginia last night meaning schools are closed today. It was an answer to a prayer as I really needed it to work on teaching materials and play catch up. I'm currently compiling a database of multicultural childrens books and it's amazing how many great books there are.
Multiculturalism is something I'm passionate about. I love learning about new cultures and as a teacher I'm exposed to it on a daily basis. I like to add cultural diversity in lessons through stories, games, history and daily life. I have a notebook where I keep note cards for multicultural reads and now I'm databasing it to add to my teaching portfolio. I'm always looking for more reads, so I wanted to know, what are your favorites?
What are some of your favorite Multicultural Children's Books?
