TCF bank has finally added text banking to the list of services they offer their customers. I have been a member of this bank from about the age of 16 and its about time they caught up with some of the more tech savvy banks.
While little options like this should hardly decide what bank you decide to work with, they still have a pull. i was about to leave them for another bank a little while ago, but didn't want the hassle of changing over all my online payment information. (man i'm lazy) And now that they seem to be playing catch up with the other banks options, maybe i will stick it out a little bit longer.
It is just so convenient to be able to text "bal" to a number on your phone and get your current balance right there. much faster and easier than dealing with the automated computer phone service. those things never understand what you are saying...
anyway, that was my happy little moment of the week!
