You and your husband will be in my thoughts and prayers. I have two adult children living with us both of them are unemployed and can no longer collect. My husband is supporting all of us.

One reason we are not already under water is hubby took Social Security at 62 because of spotty employment here, and my son has had to come home, but he works and pays rent.

How near are you to the flooding? I will have to admit I know nothing about geography in Australia.

Let's say the Flooding is in North Carolina and I live in New York: it's two hours away by jet.
Having said that, the area flooded is twice the size of Texas, or as large as all of Germany and France put together!

I know just what you mean. We are struggling ourselves. There are no jobs here to be had. They keep saying the economy is getting better but I don't see it.
