we all have something that we collect. i have a few things that i could put on that list. But lets talk about those things that we collect that really have no meaning...like my collection of glass jars.

I have a huge issue throwing away a jar or container of any kind. I always feel like there is some reason for me to hold on to it. granted, now that i have a recycling bin I have gotten better about it but i still save a good chunk of my container like waste. most all of them go unused and are just stashed away somewhere...

heres my collection at the moment, i just cleared some out. i hope to one day organize all sorts of screws and nails in them. someday when i have a useful garage that is...or maybe i will make a little work bench here in my office...but for the most part...the collection of jars i just cant throw away is USELESS.

So how about you, do you have any useless collections?

I collect jars also, but only canning jars. I don't consider anything that I use regularly a "collection" though..Others may argue that. I just consider it a necessity to have them, such as canning jars that I use all year round.

I do "collect" fabric for sewing. Cook books that I really never use. Clothes (that's a girl thing), Makeup, and I'm sure alot more that I will think of later.

I use mason jars of various sizes to keep my spices in.
I don't really collect anything except dust. hahahaha

I have my collection of canning jars but mine get used. I do have a few old ones that I have things in for display. I do collect wooden back massagers and lots of dust.

I do collect canning jars that can be reused, manatees, knives, Wicked Witch stuff, old vintage kitchen utensils, fabric (I plan on using it all - someday), and books.

I don't but hubby is, he is a packrat, he had a huge collection of old prescription bottles that he just had to have, he went to work and I threw them away, that was over 10 years ago and he still hasn't missed them, go figure.

I used to collect Baseball Cards and Baseball Caps but that ended when my house got robbed. :-/ Now the only collection I really have is Tshirts ... And I'm kinda wondering if that isn't more like hoarding. lol

haha, just cleaned out my clothes the other day, we had 1 bag of garbage clothes and 3 bags to donate. a good chunk of that was my old t-shirts, i still have 2 drawers full lol. but i condensed everything into one dresser and left the closet entirely for my wife with the exception of like 2 things that need to hang.

I use to be like that with the kids baby cloths and one day I said enough and only kept what I would and could use to make a quilt with. I hate clutter so that keeps me form keeping to much.

I have many collections - hot sauces, magazines, cookbooks, autographs, cow-related items, chile-related items, salt and pepper shakers, PEZ dispensers, rhinestone jewelry, Joan Rivers jewelry, 1940-1960's pins, and as I told you in your Jar post, I also save jars. I also have a huge spice & herb collection in the pantry and use most of them.

I wish I wasn't a collector. We would have a ton less stuff. Hubby and son are also collectors - my husband collects cd's, records, rocks, little tiny vases, and ceramic things. My son collects certain trading cards, Power Ranger stuff, Guiness Book of World Records books, and rock & roll buttons.

hi Ryan I collected postcards when I was a kid and teen but now I collect everything about and with cats and owls. I have towels with cats on them, earrings, even socks and bedlinen with kitties. Kitty postcards galore, stationary with cats.
When it comes to owls its mostly figurines, a big stuffed eagle owl sits on my desk, LOL
