How I Met Your Mother has had a pretty impressive list of guest stars, and now it's adding one more: People's Choice Award winner Katy Perry. She may have been the fansÂ’ choice for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Online Sensation, but will she be TedÂ’s choice for love?
HIMYM Casts Perry
The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Perry will be in an upcoming episode in the show’s sixth season. She’ll play “a potential love interest for Josh Radnor’s Ted.”
Her episode is called “Oh Honey,” and she’s going to be Jennifer Morrison’s character Zoey’s cousin. Apparently she’s “a beautiful, naïve girl who the gang resorts to calling ‘honey’.” Obviously that’s where the episode’s title comes in.
HIMYM’s co-creator and executive producer Carter Bays is excited for her appearance and calls Katy Perry “a tremendous talent.”
Katy does have that innocent face so it’s not hard to imagine her playing a naïve character.
So far this season, viewers have watched as the tension grew between Ted and Zoey, which also led to some amusing moments between Ted and her husband, The Captain (Kyle MacLachlan).
