Jake Gyllenhaal and chart-topping singer Taylor Swift are already history. But, it turns out, the actor explored a different kind of relationship shortly before getting cozy with Swift. On the set of Love and Other Drugs, Gyllenhaal's necessary on-screen chemistry with Anne Hathaway led both stars to become pretty close.
“We h
ad to go to a lot of emotionally and physically vulnerable places and spent a lot of time rehearsing,” Hathaway recently revealed.
“We talked about our own experiences with love and intimacy, about what turned us on and what didn’t. So it was completely open from the get-go. Jake described it as a kind of intellectual orgy…” Hathaway added.
An "intellectual orgy" - now that's an interesting fusion of words from Gyllenhaal. But, it most certainly illustrates his unusual, almost romantic connection with Hathaway, at least during the film!
Perhaps Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift should have taken a page from this playbook and formed a deeper “intellectual-orgy”- influenced bond to preserve their relationship.

One could easily see the great chemistry between Anne and Jake in the movie.
