Experience has been my teacher on life's stage
I should be wise at my youthful age
I've found that there is always something new
Every time I turn a page
There are things I thought were true
Learning they were not, made me blue
Happiness and loves I had were lost
Forever disappears without a clue
I should have seen that Albatross
Circling above before I claimed my cross
But then again, I am no sage
I was left here with remorse
With God in prayers I do engage
Asking for forgiveness for any rage
That I may have had towards Him at times
For I continue walking on life's stage
He smiles on me, gives me faith that binds
Helps me realize happiness has many kinds
I'm learning to let go of hurtful things
New love grows quickly , precious finds
I await each day to see what life now brings
Hope in my breast eternally springs
Even in my advancing age
I've a lilt in my walk, and my heart sings
