Last night, Adam Lambert and his "oops" moment were discussed during a special on E! Entertainment Television.
Coming in at number 23 of the 50 Most Insane Celebrity Oops, Lambert's notorious man-on-man kiss at the American Music Awards last year ranked in the middle of all "oops" moments made by certain daring celebs during the past 12 months or so.
While same sex kissing is not all that provocative in the scheme of things, the Adam Lambert action had a reaction from ABC, perhaps because this impressive entertainer had just come on the scene in a big way. Or, perhaps ABC simply did not want its audience to be entertained by someone so exciting and charismatic as Adam Lambert. Or at least not back then.
Then, again, the object of every Glambert's affection did admit that he wasn't so sure he had made the right, well, move so early on in his now super star career. He told CNN Asia that in looking back, "I realize that it might have been a little too soon timing wise for people."
Apparently so for some people. But those days seem to be, for the most part, gone. During his lengthy and highly successful Glam Nation Tour, Adam Lambert not only regularly kissed his bass player during those more-than-memorable concerts, he also sometimes kissed a willing audience member, as well.
That said, do you think Adam Lambert and his MTV kiss should have been called an "oops" moment? Do you think ABC made a mistake in making such a big deal about that kiss? Thoughts? Thanks.
