With the Christmas rush finally over, I have some time to post some photos from some of this year's holiday activities.
Back in November on the Saturday of Thanksgiving Weekend, I took my son to see the town of Dennis MA kick off the Christmas season with Santa Claus arriving by helicopter at the Patriot Square Mall.
We arrived just in time. There was already a big crowd.

Look! Up in the sky!

My son loved watching the chopper circle around overhead.

Here his is awaiting the landing.

He lost some of his enthusiasm when the copter actually made its final approach. That wind and noise and flying dust was a bit much.

Coming in for a landing!

A state trooper helps Kris Kringle out of his ride.

He greeted the crowd and handed out Christmas treats.

Waving to the crowd! Merry Christmas!

This was a lot of fun to see, although as mentioned my son (age 2 1/2) was a little scared by the actual landing. We still had a great time seeing Santa make his entrance in style.
