The Terrible Stork by Kenneth Robeson - A Doc...

This story is from June of 1945. I have been reading the history of Lester Dent's writings of Doc Savage. Lester Dent was the real name of most of the stories of Doc Savage. Lester had been told to tone down the scientific aspects of the stories. Make Doc more human like. All this did was make it very dull and boring.

One of the wonders of Doc Savage is suppose to have been train from birth to be a superhuman. A perfection of the human race. He never explain anything till it was over and almost never shown any emotion ( An early Mr. Spock).

Now in this sad episode, He is shown to be indecision, worrying about his clothes, happy that he was able to actually predict what a women was going to do.

The story centers around a cheap metal stork which at an auction was being bid upon with ridiculous sums of money. And ended up in the Grand Canyon.

At least I can reads these quickly. Don't tries reading unless you are a die hard Doc Savage fan or have nothing else to read. ( Even TV is better then this.)
