Jillian Michaels, star trainer for Biggest Loser, took to twitter to make the announcement that she is leaving the show that made her a household name. What could make her want to leave the show? That is the question on the lips of her countless fans, who may be questioning if Biggest Loser can even survive without her.
So why is Jillian leaving Biggest Loser?
Jillian Michaels stated on her twitter page, "I want to take a year off TV, and focus on becoming a mommy and doing more charity work." She is a busy woman. Her webpage, with its newsletter and its Q&A section, have to take up a lot of her free time. She also does other TV appearances, including a recent appearance on The Doctors. Traveling frequently, along with her role as a trainer on the Biggest Loser, it would be hard to find time to be the mom she would want to be. Also being an ambassador for the American Cancer Society has to be taxing, when added to all the other projects she is involved in.
So when will Jillian leave Biggest Loser?
According to her twitter page and People.com, her departure isn't far off. She told fans "Season 11 of Biggest Loser will be my last :) have to finish out my contract." Thankfully, she will have one more season to help motivate people to get up off the couch and lose weight. The trainer tips, both she and Bob give on the show, are valuable tidbits of information and along with the contestants of the show, have helped many people to lose the much needed pounds they had to shed.
There is a big question left unanswered, at least for now. Can Biggest Loser survive Jillian Michaels leaving the show? Fans of the show are not going to take her departure lightly. Many people watch the show just to see what she will do or say next. It's hard to imagine anyone being able to take her place, but all we can do is wait and see what the future holds for Biggest Loser.
