Khloe Kardashian is one lucky lady. She's famous and rich for doing absolutely nothing along with the rest of her sisters. Khloe married a big time sports athlete who will just add more money to her already bulging wallet. She gets to travel all over the country with her sisters, smiling for all the camera's which is what they all consider their "job." Too bad Khloe doesn't know the meaning of the word rape because she considers being patted down for airport security the same thing as being publically raped.
Recently, Khloe told George Lopez, "Well, they basically just are raping you in public. The people are so aggressive! It's like, 'Chill out, you didn't find anything on me yet, calm down.’ They say, 'OK, I'm going to be patting you down and I'm going to be touching the crease of your ass.' That is so inappropriate!" Your statement is a tad inappropriate too, Khloe.
FoxNews, reported that Katherine Hull, the spokesperson for the Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network (RAINN), explained that, "Rape is a serious violent crime. While many survivors of sexual assault have expressed concern about the new airport security measures, the word ‘rape’ should be used only in situations that describe that crime.â€
Maybe someone should explain this to Ms. Kardashian since she obviously doesn't understand what the word means.
Pandora's Project, an organization that provides support and information to rape and sexual abuse survivors, also complained about what Kardashian said. “Comparing the two is inappropriate and cheapens the devastation of sexual violence. Rape is sexual contact without consent and the screening procedures are non-sexual contact with consent,†Jessica Sears Brown, Co-Founder of Pandora’s Project said. “We understand that Ms. Kardashian found her screening to be uncomfortable. Many survivors we serve do, too. However, I highly doubt she’ll need years of therapy to rebuild her sense of safety and trust in the world after undergoing a TSA screening.â€
Khloe is not the only one troubled by TSA screenings. Many celebrities have complained about the pat down method before getting on an airplane but so has the average citizen. No one is happy with a stranger patting around in areas where we only allow our doctors to delve but we all have to go through it if we want to fly. Celebrities are no better than the rest of us and if we go through it so should they. Sorry, Ms. Kardashian.
Khloe, you're also very lucky that you don't know what rape really means. Unlike so many others, you have never had this happen to you. Maybe you should think before you actually form the words that are roaming around your little mind.
