The body of forty six year old Mark Madoff was found handing form an exposed pipe in the living room of his Soho apartment on Saturday morning December 11, 2010. The apparent suicide occurred two years to the day after his father was arrested for the Ponzi scheme he used to bilk billions of dollars from unsuspecting investors.
The Madoff sons were all employed by the families company although none of them have been charged with any wrongdoing. Ironically, the sons were the individuals who alerted authorities to the wrong doings of their father two years ago.
Mark's wife was suspicious of a communication she received in the wee hours of Saturday morning in which He suggested that she should have someone check on the well being of their two year old child who was found asleep in a bedroom at the time of the discovery of Mark Madoff's corpse. It is unclear if the child saw the body before discovery.
