I was thrilled when I got notice from gather that I had been chosen to review the Hallmark Recordable Storybook. I watched the mailbox daily, excited for it to come in.
Once it came in the mail, my daughter Jasmine and I couldn't wait to try it. Jasmine said right away that she wanted to record the story. I didn't argue, as with many, I don't like the sound of my own voice.

The instructions that come with the book are clear, easy to read, and easy to follow. We were having a bit of trouble getting it to record. That was when we re-read some of the instructions. We found that the recording part has to be in the right light in order to work.
Jasmine and I had so much fun with this! It's a laugh when you mess up words. Good thing it's easy to start over....and over....and over if necessary. LOL
Once you do have each page as you like it, simply open up the battery case and switch it to lock. This way the kids can't push record.
If you choose to re-record it later, simply open it again and unlock it.

There are 15 recordable story books in all. I wish I could get each of them! Retail on the books is $29.95. Well worth it for a lifetime and beyond of memories.
We still don't have our book just the way we want it, but I did take this video as I flip through the pages. I don't stay on the pages for the whole page for the most part, but you can see how it works. You also may need to turn up your sound.
Disclosure: I was not compensated for my review. I did receive the book from gather and Hallmark for the purpose of my review. Reviewers were requested per this post on gather: Product Reviewers Needed for Hallmark Holiday Recordable Ornaments & Storybooks!
